Anh Phillips has dedicated her career to championing the people side of change and transformation, with a focus on leadership, culture, and wellbeing. She spent over a decade in operational leadership before she began studying transformation for a living. Running business and technology teams through CRM and order management implementations, she started to ask why some changes endured, while others never got traction. That question sent her into 15+ years of research, including as research director for Deloitte’s Global CEO Program, studying why tech-enabled change succeeds or fails on people, from cloud, to data, to now AI.
That research became three books, co-authored with leading academics and practitioners: The Technology Fallacy, The Transformation Myth, and Work Better Together. The throughline across all of it: culture, leadership, and talent aren’t the “soft side” of transformation. They’re the variable that actually determines whether it works.
Today she works with senior executives who are past the point of wanting another framework and want someone who’ll tell them what the research shows, including where it contradicts conventional practice.
Anh lives in Atlanta with her husband and two kids, and still reads far more books than she writes.
